Brenda Lee Bernard Simpson, 77, of Danville, Indiana died Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 30, 1945 in Adair County, KY to the late Losier and Alva Keen Bernard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Buddy, Bobby and Billy Bernard and two sisters: May Franklin and Betty Rogers & husband Joseph Simpson.

1 daughter & son-in-love: Peggy & Kenneth Koelling of Danville, Indiana

1 son & daughter-in-love: Robert & Cassandra Simpson of New Castle, Indiana

13 grandchildren: Zachary Koelling, Jasmine Stinson, Beau Stinson, Jeremiah Koelling, Julia Taylor, Andrew Villano, Sarah Koelling, Ty Powers, Isaiah Simpson, Joseph Simpson, Jack Simpson, Lilyanne Simpson, Magnolia Simpson

2 great-grandchildren: Ariana and Bryant Koelling

1 sister: Frances Freeman of Indianapolis, Indiana

Sister-in-law: Carol Bernard of Columbia

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

We are celebrating her life, not her death. She had an amazing life. She loved her family, her faith and her country more than anything else and she hated to say Goodbye.

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. CDT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home

Burial: Beulah Chapel Cemetery

Visitation: After 11:00 A.M. Saturday

Casket Bearers: Her six grandsons, Zachary, Jeremiah, Andrew, Isaiah, Joey and Jack

Honorary: Beau and Ty
