Marion E. Record, Jr., 68, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Russell County Hospital. He was born January 30, 1955 in Danville, KY, a son of Marion, Sr. and Joyce Irvin Record.
Marion was a “Precious” husband, loving “Pop”, devoted “Poppie”, steadfast Christian and dedicated public servant. He was a member of, served on the board, and taught Sunday School at Coffey’s Chapel Community Church. Marion and his loving wife, Cynthia, began every day with coffee and prayer time. He would say his day didn’t start out right if there was a change in their morning’s routine. Marion was a faithful daily reader and studier of his Bible. After his retirement from Commercial Refrigeration of Kentucky, Marion started a new career as deputy and court security officer with the Russell County Sheriff’s Department.
Marion was a committed family man. His solid advice was often sought and freely given. Marion and Cynthia loved spending their time together. Their annual trips to Gatlinburg, riding around in the mountains were a favorite. Marion was proud of his grandsons. He enjoyed watching Josiah play football and cherished his time going fishing and working on vehicles with him.
