Gene Loy, 84, Columbia, KY

 

Gene Loy, 84, of Columbia, KY died Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10:37 A.M. at Hosparus Care Center in Louisville. He was born May 19, 1938 in Adair County, KY to the late Holland and Nina Wilson Loy.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby W. Loy and Harry Loy and three sisters-in-law: Julia Loy, Odean Loy and Joan Loy.

 

Gene professed his faith in Christ, was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired factory worker.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 brother: Marshall Loy of Columbia

Sister-in-law: Nancy Loy of Columbia

Nieces & Nephews: Janet Parrish, Cheryl Corbin (Barry), Carolyn Hale (Anthony), Steven Loy (Molly), Angela Cook (Bryan) and Michael Loy (Robin)

13 great-nieces & great-nephews, 6 great-great nieces & nephews and expecting the 7th great-great nephew

 

Visitation: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home

 

Graveside Service: Will follow visitation at Haven Hill Cemetery

 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Hosparus-Green River which can be left at the funeral home


Casket Bearers: Steven Loy, Michael Loy, Anthony Hale, Bryan Cook, Barry Corbin, & John Stockton

 

Honorary: Travis Hale, Dylan Hale, Alex Durham, Seth Dunbar, J.T. Loy, & G. Young
