Emily Guffey, 85, of Russell Springs, KY died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Russell County Hospital. She was born in Jamestown, KY on December 11, 1937, a daughter of the late William Stanley and Rittie Dykes Guffey.
Mrs. Guffey was a retired nurse, a Jehovah’s Witness, and an interior decorator. She was instrumental in establishing the Children’s Advocacy Center in Jamestown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mindy Roxanne Curry and one grandchild.

5 sons: Michael Dale Ford (Mary), Peter Lynn Ford (Edith), and Matthew Wayne Ford all of Russell Springs, KY; John William Ford (Lila) and Mark Edward Ford (Shelia) of Columbia, KY
2 daughters: Jennifer Karen Humble (Eric) and Courtenay Marcine Brown (Tim), both of Russell Springs, KY
12 grandchildren & 19 great-grandchildren
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 12 Noon at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eric Larson officiating
Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Saturday at the funeral home
