Dwight Hale, 80, of Paducah, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at at 2:28 p.m. at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. He was born October 11, 1943 in Tompkinsville, KY, a son of the late Orvil Woodman Hale and Dollye Ellen Burchett Hale, and grew up in “The Holler” of Adair County, KY.
Dwight was a 1961 graduate of Adair County High School. He retired from Trunkline Gas Company after 35 years of service in 1997 as Area Superintendent. Dwight was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and loved his family and friends. He enjoyed his Ford Truck, motorcycling, camping, fishing, boating, woodworking, fabricating and crafting decor items.

1 step-son: Phillip (Karen) Nethery of Brandon, Mississippi
1 step-daughter: Christina Coburn of Paducah, KY
2 sisters: Carolyn Boyer (Terry) of Mattoon, Illinois and LaVerne Jessee (Gene) of Columbia, KY
6 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren
Mother of his 4 children: Betty Butler
Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, David Hale; three sisters: JoAnn, Rachel and Dana; three brothers: Darrell, Walter and Timmy; and the mother of his step-son (Phillip), Tommie Jean Hale.
