Barbara Chelf Jones, 77, of Columbia, KY peacefully passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at TJ Health Columbia, surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 8, 1946 in a log cabin in Knifley, KY, a daughter of the late Presley and Pauline Chelf.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marion Evelyn Chelf, and her husband J.L. Jones.
Barbara spent most of her adult life caring for others. If you were a friend of Barbara’s, you were a friend for life. She was good-hearted, loved unconditionally and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. Barbara was a faithful member of Knifley Christian Church and loved serving and helping others. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with them whenever she could.

2 sons: David Jones (Becky) of Columbia, KY and Todd Jones (Christina) of Dixon, KY
4 grandchildren: JT Jones (Carrie), Clayton Jones (Fiancé, Emily), Jaylyn Bailey (Cara), and Jamian Bailey (Miranda)
4 great-grandchildren: Rose Michelle Jones, Julia Belle Jones, Reid Bailey, and Nolan Bailey
2 sisters: Trudy Harden of Bowling Green, KY and Maurita Herron (Van) of Knifley, KY
Several special children: Cindy Keltner, Sherry Powell, Bobby Powell, Pat Burton, Doris Moore, and Faye Townsend
Several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews
Funeral Sservice: Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Hugh Withers officiating
Burial: Roley Cemetery
Visitation: Monday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Tuesday morning until time for the service
Pallbearers: J.T. Jones, Clayton Jones, Jaylyn Bailey, Jamian Bailey, Mason Burton, Talvan Herron, and Weldon Herron
