Helen Fay Waggener McKinley, 91, of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024.
Fay was the mother of four who worked to get her teaching degree at Western Kentucky University. She enjoyed her college accomplishments, her long career as librarian at Shepherd Grade School until her retirement, and then substitute teaching.
She served as secretary of the Adair County Veterans of Foreign Wars as an auxiliary member. She belonged to the Columbia Baptist Church, and the Adair County Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.P. and Audrey Chelf Waggener; her husband, Lucian Grant "Peanut" McKinley; two daughters: Marcia Burton Cook and Mitzi Bault; a grandchild, Stewart; one sister, Jean Cravens; and two brothers: Arthur Lee Waggener and Ed Waggener.

2 sons: Mitchell (Donna) McKinley of Bowling Green, KY and Mark McKinley of Glasgow, KY
Son-in-law: Ricky Bault of Columbia
7 grandchildren: Cyndi Skains, Mitch McKinley II, Holly Jo McKinley, Steven Burton, Amy Whitaker, Anna Burton Murray and Joey Burton

Honoring Fay's wishes, she chose cremation and no public service will be held.
