Jack Phillips, 68, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jamestown. He was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia on May 15, 1955, a son of Wayne Phillips and Emily Tankersley Harris.
Jack had moved with his daughter to Russell Springs late last year, where his mother and sisters reside. He might be described as a man who liked to “boss you around”. Jack was soft spoken and kind, always greeting with a smile; and to quote his niece, he was “fiercely protective of those he loved”. He loved watching football and going fishing. Jack enjoyed eating chocolate (especially Turtles), drinking coffee, and listening to classic rock music. He loved reading fantasy genre books, with Stephen King works among some of his favorites.
