David Dewey Scott, 70, of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Columbia, KY on December 24, 1953 to the late Carl Scott and Allene Absher.
Mr. Scott was a retired Sergeant in the U S Army and Kentucky National Guard. He enjoyed doing mechanic work, woodworking, University of Kentucky basketball, reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family and friends.

2 children: David Douglas Scott (Juanita) and Shannon Renee Scott Gadberry both of Columbia, KY
4 grandchildren: Jonathan Scott (Billie Elizabeth), Corey Scott (Harlie), Anthony Alley (Ashley), and Cody Gadberry
7 great grandchildren: Jaden, Rory and Riley Scott, Levi Money, Lanie Wilbanks, and Timree and Layton Alley
2 sisters: Marlene Flatt (Melvin) of Columbia, KY and Samantha Shepherd of Butler, KY

Funeral Service: Monday, March 25, 2024 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Gaskins officiating
Burial: Freedom Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 6097
Visitation: Sunday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and on Monday morning until time for the service
Pallbearers: Jonathan Scott, Corey Scott, Cody Gadberry, Phillip Cornelison, Brent Pelston, Chris Bragg, and Levi Money
