Hurston Holt, 81, left this earth on Thursday, March 21, 2024 surrounded by family, and after a long illness in which he battled bravely. He was born on February 5, 1943 in Windsor, KY, the son of Ruby and Berlin “Byrd” Holt.
Mr. Holt graduated from Russell County High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He met and married his college sweetheart and best friend of 60 years, Martha. He attended the University Church of Christ and lived a life of faith to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a wonderful provider for his family. He worked at Dresser Industries Instrument Division in Berea, KY for 28 years and had many wonderful friends. He loved spending time with his family and friends, being a fan of Western Kentucky University, going to Oak Island Beach, and working out at the YMCA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Martha Evelyn Lee Holt; his parents, Ruby and Berlin Holt, and a sister, Glenodine Thomas.

4 children: Evelyn Hunter, Joe Holt (Robin), Michelle Berry (Allen) and Marsha Christopher (Zachary Williford)
6 grandchildren: Abigail Borchers (Jack), Beth Hunter, Steven Holt (Haley Slavey), Emma Alford, Alania Williford, and Harley Williford
1 great-grandchild: Ivyanna Slavey
