Ricky Lane Coomer, 68, of Marrowbone, KY passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Adair County, KY on December 20, 1955 to the late Coy Odell and Mary Magdalene Morrison Coomer.
Mr. Coomer was of the Christian faith and made a career drilling oil and water wells all over the state for Jimmy Reliford Drilling and Joe Balance Drilling. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, staying at his cabin and spending time with his family and friends.

2 children: Mickel Norris (Sheri) of Breeding, KY and Tammy Pruitt (Greg) of Marrowbone, KY
1 sister: Janice England of Columbia
7 grandchildren: Josh Norris, Cassie Dyer (Trevor), Zoey Morris, Gabby Sandlin (Dillon), Wesley Smith, Coy Pruitt, and Maggie Pruitt
4 great-grandchildren: Eliza and Genie Jo Smith and Chesney and Kori Anne Dyer

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Dennis Odell Coomer; his maternal grandparents: Jessie Allen and Etter Burbridge Morrison; and his paternal grandparents:Johnny Roy “Buck” and Exie Parrish Coomer.

Burial: Antioch Cemetery
Visitation: Friday 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Saturday until time for the service
