Casper Nehez, II, 86, Russell Springs, KY

 
Casper Nehez, II, 86, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Russell County Hospital. He was born on April 24, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Casper and Mary Barto Nehez. 
 
Casper was of the Catholic faith and was a proud US Navy Veteran. He retired after 30 years as a general foreman for General Motors. Casper loved fishing, hunting, and playing golf. 
 
SURVIVORS:
His wife: Carron McBeath Nehez of Russell Springs
2 sons: Casper (Susie) Nehez, III of Greenwood, Indiana, Tom Nehez of Shelbyville, Indiana
1 stepson: James (Tamie) Hatfield of Martinsville, Indiana
4 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Merna Volouar and Gene Pope. 
 
Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00pmCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Polston officiating
 
Burial: McBeath Cemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard
 
Visitation: After 12:00pmCT on Tuesday
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Donations may also be left at the funeral home.
