Randall Lee Banks, 74, Columbia, KY

 

Randall Lee Banks, 74, of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born April 7, 1950 in Adair County to the late Marion Winfrey Banks and Lois Farris Bennett Banks who survives. 

 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Banks and an infant sister, Carolyn Sue Banks.

 

Randall was a graduate of WKU with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and continued to be an avid Hilltopper fan. He was a member of Cane Valley Baptist Church, retired from Bank of Columbia and a lifelong farmer.  
 

SURVIVORS:

His mother: Lois Farris Bennett Banks of Columbia

2 daughters: MaryEllen Purcell (Anthony) of Nicholasville and Amy Banks of Columbia

1 sister: Betty Brockman (Bobby) of Mt. Juliet, TN

3 grandchildren: Matthew Purcell, Andrew Purcell and Ethan Purcell of Nicholasville

His former wife: Ellen Banks of Campbellsburg

A host of other relatives & friends

 

Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with

 

Burial: Columbia Cemetery

 

Visitation: Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday until time for the service

 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
