George W. Akers, 67, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at his home. He was born in Glasgow, KY on August 7, 1956, a son of the late Imogene (Murphy) and Chester Akers.
SURVIVORS:
2 daughters: Shannon Wilson of Peyton, CO and Cindy Robertson of Campbellsville, KY
1 son: Tim Akers of Panama City, FL
2 stepsons: Josh Bunch and Jeremy Stearns of Russell Springs, KY
2 sisters: Carolyn Wilson and Tammy Burton
7 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Cherie Coe; two sisters: Brenda McCoy and Donna Akers; and a brother, Casey Akers.
Care and cremation were chosen.
H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown is in charge of the arrangements.
