Johnny Ray

 

Johnny Ray “Pops” Walden, 70, of Columbia, KY passed from this life on Friday, June 14, 2024 at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Jefferson County, KY on June 8, 1954 to the late Andrew and Anna (Johnson) Walden.

 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Carrying the Torch Ministries. He was a farmer. Mr. Walden loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed watching U of L basketball and football.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 son: John Walden & wife Nicole of Columbia

1 daughter: Christy Trail of Shelbyville

3 sisters: Linda Raisor of Tennessee, Anna Perkins & husband Donnie of Knifley, and Mary Jo Swartz of Shelbyville

6 grandchildren: Gregory Walden, Charles Walden, Sebastian Trail, Cyala Trail, Alina Trail, and Alexis Shepperson

A host of extended family members & friends

  

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: Lowell Walden, Andy Lee Walden, and Margaret Spears.

 

Cremation was accorded Mr. Walden by L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. There are no public services scheduled at this time.
