Ida “Genette” Burton, 78, of Mt. Auburn, Indiana passed away from this life at 7:39 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024 at home surrounded with love. She was born September 3, 1945 in Sparksville, KY, the daughter of the late James Molen and Ida Ezola Corbin.
Mrs. Burton was a homemaker who loved the Lord and enjoyed her many collections, crafting, making ceramics. She had a love for animals and enjoyed sitting on the front porch and spending time visiting with her family. She loved family and togetherness, the outdoors, fishing, flowers, and gardening. Mrs. Burton also loved being a grandmother. She loved the beauty of her home (Kentucky) and sharing it with all of her family. Mrs. Burton was a woman of God and a woman of many hobbies including ceramics, crafting, and collecting. She loved animals and caring for others. Mrs. Burton was the light in many lives, what many would call the heart of the family. She loved with all her heart and made everyone in her presence feel comfortable. She is an unforgettable soul and her legacy and all the beautiful characteristics she taught will continue to live on through all her family.

3 sons: Marty, Randy (April), and Brent (Amanda), all of Edinburgh, IN
3 grandchildren: Alyssa (Jesse) - caregivers, Cole (Abby), and Corbin
5 step-grandchildren: Blake (Autumn), Shelby (Cameron), Jaleah, Elijah, and Gavin
5 great-grandchildren: Landon, Nolan, Xander, Alayna, and Ivy
3 step-great-grandchildren: Dax, Charli, and Arrow
3 brothers: Fred (Teresa) Corbin, Ronnie (Janet) Corbin, and Michael (Tammy) Corbin, all of Sparksville, KY
3 sisters: Maxine Froedge of Sparksville, KY, Debbie (Tony) Furkin of Sparksville, KY, and Anita Franklin of Columbia, KY

In addtion to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, James Thomas and brother, Glen Corbin.
Funeral Service: Friday, July 19, 2024 at 1:00pmET at the Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, IN 46124 with her brother, Pastor Michael Corbin and Pastor Randy Denton officiating
Burial: Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh
