Bonnie Sue Janes, 85, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Adair County on October 15, 1938 to the late Will and Ada Pearl Keltner Shirley.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollen Davis Janes on February 24, 2024, a great-granddaughter, Bella Streeval and four siblings: Robert and Allen Shirley, Sally Smith, and Mary Keltner.
Mrs. Janes was a member of the Pickett’s Chapel Church and the Adair County Homemakers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, taking pictures, and spending time with her family and friends.

1 son: Barney Janes (Doris) of Columbia, KY
4 grandchildren: Sarah Streeval (Keith), Michael Janes, John Janes, and Rebecca Godsey (Alan)
11 great-grandchildren: Timothy, Matthew, Zachery, Jackson, Benjamin, Katelyn, and Madelyn Streeval, Christian and Wade Janes, and Merlin and Christina Godsey
2 siblings: John Shirley and Ellen Wiggs
Funeral service: Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Wisdom and Bro. Larry Huckaby officiating
Burial: Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery
Visitation: Sunday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Monday morning until time for the service
