Ivodean R. Bernard, 84, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jamestown, KY. She was born in Dunnville, on May 14, 1940, a daughter of the late Oliver Cromwell and Tamzy Louisa Whitehead Rodgers.
She was a hard-working lady who spent years working full time at the sewing factory or as a cook for the Russell County Board of Education, before coming home to work on her family’s farm. Ms. Ivodean was a member of the Willow Oak Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers; she loved to spend any spare time sewing and painting.

2 sons: Timothy (Lecil) Bernard of the Philippines and Tyler (Amber) Bernard of Dunnville
2 daughters: Kim (Matt) Wyatt and Wendy (Michael) Blair, both of Russell Springs
4 brothers: Jimmy Rodgers of Junction City, Doyle Rodgers of Russell Springs, Noel (Vickie) Rodgers of Windsor, and Joseph Rodgers of Russell Springs
10 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Bernard; and her sister, Tyona Collins.
Funeral Service: Monday, August 5, 2024 at 1:00pmCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. James D. McDonald officiating
Interment: Thomas Ridge Cemetery in Dunnville
Visitation: After 11:00amCT on Monday at the funeral home
