Linda Carol Grider Wood, 76, of Henderson, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Lucy Smith King Hospice Care Center in Henderson. She was born in Russell County, on June 11, 1948, a daughter of the late Clifton and Myrtle Pike Grider.
After high school, Linda attended Lindsey Wilson College and Western Kentucky University. She had many jobs throughout her life: bank teller, manager of KFC, and Goody’s department store. She was very passionate about animals and frequently volunteered at New Hope Animal Rescue Center. Linda was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and a Kentucky Colonel.

2 grandchildren: Jacob and Caleb
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Clifton Thomas Grider and her sister, Barbara Grider.

Burial: Bethlehem Cemetery
Visitation: Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 5:00-8:00pmCT and on Sunday after 7:30amCT at the funeral home
