Danny Ray Jessie, 67, Edmonton, KY

 

Danny Ray Jessie, 67, of Edmonton, KY passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on July 11, 1957 in Glasgow, KY to the late Ovie Jessie and Loretta Jessie of Edmonton, KY (who survives).
 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Talana Akin and a sister, Vicky Bilbrey. 

 

Mr. Jessie was a member of the Word of Life Church and enjoyed fishing, University of Kentucky Basketball, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

SURVIVORS:

His mother: Loretta Jessie of Edmonton, KY

1 daughter: Stephanie Brewer of Columbia, KY

1 son: Louis York (Bridgette) of Columbia, KY

5 grandchildren: Samuel and Zachary Brewer, and Emma, Dani, and Molly York

3 siblings: Mark Jessie (Buffy), Jo Ann Phelps (Gene), and Bruce Jessie (Allison) all of Edmonton, KY

Several nieces & nephews

 

Funeral Service: Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 2:00pmCT at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Parnell officiating

 

Burial: Chestnut Grove Cemetery
 

Visitation: Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pmCT and Thursday from 8:00am-2:00pmCT at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home

 

Pallbearers: Zach Brewer, Sam Brewer, Brian Phelps, Shane Frey, Spencer Phelps, Kyle Jessie, and Matthew Jessie
