JoAnn Skipper, 81, of Jamestown, KY, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. She was born on November 6, 1942 in Hamilton, OH, a daughter of the late Jeff and Nancy Durbin.
JoAnn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and her career as a registered nurse, proudly obtaining her nursing degree and caring for others throughout her life.
JoAnn enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including golf, cooking, gardening, and music ministry. She had a passion for Southern food and loved listening to the piano. In her leisure time, she also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and participating in bingo games. JoAnn was a devoted fan of television shows like "Blue Bloods," "Big Brother," "Survivor," and "Alone", but her family was her greatest joy.

7 grandchildren: Deena (Aaron), Justin, Dylan, Cole (Caitlyn), Lindsey, Elizabeth, and Michael
3 great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Cassian, and Eliana
1 sister: Donna Gault
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers: Edward, Roy and Mark Durbin and three sisters: Opal Gray, Edna Messer, and Rosemary Durbin.
JoAnn was a strong and determined individual, known for her unwavering faith as a devout Catholic. She found her favorite place in the world at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Her kindness, dedication, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Public visitation: From 9:00am-11:00amCT on Thursday at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown
