George D. Pitzer, 95, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2:10 A.M. at his residence. He was born January 19, 1929 in Moatsville, West Virginia to the late Roy Lee and Mary Pearl Scott Pitzer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Natalie Waugh Pitzer in 2016.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a maintenance worker for the Corps of Engineers and attended Melson Ridge United Baptist Church.

4 great-grandchildren: Jacob Bailey, Luella Bailey, Dak Haskiell, Andrew Grant
Funeral service: Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington, West Virginia
Burial: Mt. Morris Cemetery in Barbour County, West Virginia
Visitation: Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Talbott Funeral Home
