David Milby, 69, Summersville, KY

 
David Milby, 69, of Summersville, KY (formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee), son of the late James Roy Milby and Lillian Warren Milby, was born on June 9, 1955 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hospice House in Glasgow. 
 
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee. He was a National Gas consultant and was owner and operator of CH4 Concepts. Mr. Milby was also a Kentucky Colonel.
 
SURVIVORS:
1 son & daughter-in-law: Kenson & Lisa Skaggs of Jamestown, KY 
2 grandchildren: Patrick Skaggs & fiancé Taylor of Jamestown, KY and Anna Renee Luster of Powell, Tennessee 
1 brother: Gary Milby of Summersville, KY 
1 sister: Nancy Vaughn of Campbellsville, KY
Sister-in-law: Rita Milby of Summersville, KY 
Long-time friend: Mark Ervin & wife Carolyn of Ohio
 
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by grandparents: N.C. Milby and Lee Madden and a brother, Ranny Milby.

Honoring Mr. Milby’s wishes, cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 12 NoonCT by the family at the Milby Family Farm, 1466 Nears Milby Rd, Greensburg, KY.
