Ruby Chrystine Knauer, 89, of Louisville, KY and formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at Westport Place Health Campus in Louisville,. She was born in Columbia, KY on September 4, 1934 to the late George Hershel and Sallie Martha Cheatham Powell.

She was also preceded in death by her husbands: Everett Inlow Knauer and Charles Edward Overcash, Sr.

Mrs. Knauer was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

3 children: Michelle Lane Padgett (Dale) of Louisville, KY, Gregory Neal Knauer (DeAnna) of Duncanville, TX and Kevin Scott Knauer of Louisville, KY

4 grandchildren: Amy E. Palmer (Brian), Carrie E. Dailey (Jason), K. Nicole Knauer, and Kimberly R. Knauer

6 great-grandchildren: Georgia L. Dailey, Avery R. Dailey, Carson C. Dailey, Webb L. Palmer, Madelynn H. Dailey, and Reese J. Palmer

2 sisters-in-law: Sandra Forrest of Greenville, IN and Jacqueline Powell of Louisville, KY

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Charles G. and Lynn Powell.

Burial: Columbia Cemetery
