Carl B. Byrd, Jr., 85, of Jamestown, KY passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at Russell County Hospital. He was born on December 27, 1938 in Huntsville, Tennessee, a son of the late Carl Bethel and Ora Lee Sexton Byrd.
Carl was a retired steel salesman for Byrd Fabrication, a company that he owned and operated for many years. He was an avid fisherman and took every available opportunity to cast out his line. Carl was a loving husband and father, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

His beloved wife of 60 years: Sandra Byrd of Jamestown
1 son: Carl (and Lisa) Byrd, III of Georgetown
1 daughter: Tracy Byrd of Jupiter, Florida
1 granddaughter: Katalina Byrd
1 brother: Robert (and Fannie) Byrd of Nicholasville
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Lee Byrd and a sister, Sandra Byrd Houge.
Per Carl’s wishes, cremation rites were honored and no service is planned at this time.
