Lillie Belle Baker, 91, known to her friends as “Penny”, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Lake Placid Florida where she had lived for the past two years, near her children. She was born in 1933 in Perry County, KY where she grew up the youngest of ten children.
In 1950, she married Birchel Baker. Together, they moved to the Detroit, Michigan area where they lived for the next 35 years. After that, they retired to Jamestown, KY.
She enjoyed her years working in the Hazel Park school system, hospice volunteering, her church family, friends, and neighbors in Jamestown, and spending time golfing and quilting.

Burial: Baker Cemetery in Yerkes, KY
