Melissa Burton, 44, of the Portland community of Adair County, KY died Friday, November 8, 2024 at the TJ Health Columbia Emergency Room. She was born January 21, 1980 in Adair County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky James Howard, one brother, Ricky Howard and one sister, Ann Burton.

Her mother: Rebecca Lee Logsdon Harmon of Russell Springs
5 children: Nathaniel Burton, Maze Burton, Jessica Burton, Latashia Burton, and Kasandra Burton all of Columbia
1 sister: Rebecca Lynn Marie Howard of Columbia
3 grandchildren: Anatashia Burton, Daniel Popplewell, Alexander Kerns
Visitation: Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Cremation to follow
In lieu of flowers, donations to Green River Animal Shelter would be appreciated as Melissa “Loved her Cats.” These can be left at the funeral home.
