Donnie Ray Powell, 72, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 28, 1952 to the late Bennie and Nadine (Ballenger) Powell.
Donnie was also preceded in death by two brothers: Gary Powell and Bennie Powell Jr.
Donnie retired from Lake Cumberland State Park where he worked for many years as a licensed Sewer Treatment Plant Operator. Before that many knew him when he owned and operated the Country Store at the Hwy 55 & Hale’s Hwy intersection.
He married his wife, Barbara, in 1972 and together they shared one son, Chris.
