Clara Faye Fox Powell, 83, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at her home. She was born at home in Russell County on February 27, 1941, the only daughter born to the union of the late Amos and Letha Hale Fox.
For over 30 years, she faithfully attended Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Clara was a homemaker who had enjoyed working at New to You Consignment Store from 1989 until 2013.

1 son: Chris (and Sondra) Powell of Russell Springs
3 daughters: Chrassia (and Jeff) Burchell of Russell Springs, Tina (and Stan) Thomas of Jamestown, and Chari (and Matthew) Bennett of Russell Springs
2 grandchildren: Cody (and Haley) Rafferty of Jamestown and Anna (and Wade) Beard of Pellyton
3 great-grandchildren: Ransom Beard, Lauren Beard and Barren Rafferty
Along with her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clarence Powell; and her two brothers: Earl Fox and Larry Fox.
Funeral Service: Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10:00amCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Owens officiating
Burial: Hale Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Cody Rafferty, Wade Beard, Larry Bennett, James Holtzclaw, John David Hale and Eddie Bradshaw
Visitation: Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hale Cemetery Fund in memory of Clara Powell. These may be left at the funeral home.
