Garry Moore Thomas, 73, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at his home. He was born November 7, 1951 in Russell County, KY, a son of the late Ellebree and Olza Shepard Thomas.
On December 14, 2024, he and his wife Patricia celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary, commemorating 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Garry was a farmer; his family would say he was born in the wrong era. At heart, he was a cowboy; he had a great love for riding horses and raising sheep. Garry was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In the past, he had worked at Russell Sportswear, Osh Kosh, Fruit of the Loom and American Greetings. Garry was a UK basketball fan.

Along with his parents, Garry was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Jean Hall.
