Rick Alan Emerson, 69, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at his home. He was born February 21, 1955 in Somerset, KY, a son of the late Ivan G. and Mary Lois Bradley Emerson.
On July 10, 1968 at the age of 13, Rick accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized as a member of Union Baptist Church, where he remained a member at his passing. After graduating Russell County High School, Rick earned his masters degree in education from the University of Kentucky. He taught for over 20 years for Russell County Schools, a majority of that time as a teacher at Salem Elementary. Rick had a great loyalty to Russell County Schools and Lakers sports and to the University of Kentucky and their Wildcats sports teams. He was a devoted Make America Great Again supporter and was a car enthusiast.

3 great-nephews: Jackson Emerson, Adam Rexroat and Bryant Rexroat
Great-niece: Adeline Rexroat
Uncle: Jimmy Bradley
Aunts: Janis (Gary) Phelps and Eldene Emerson

Along with his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a nephew, Adam Venson Rexroat and a cousin, Erik Brandon Emerson.
Graveside Service: Will be held for the family at Union Cemetery on Gosser Ridge with Bro. Patrick Patterson officiating
