James Eddie Ponder, 75, of Creelsboro, KY joined Our Father in Heaven on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on April 8, 1949 in Livingston, one of eight sons born to the late Sherman Hugh and Gladys Kirby Ponder.
He would play his guitar in praise at Creelsboro Christian Church, where he was an elder. James was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to sit and watch the river from the deck of his house. He was a hard worker and could assure you that he was always right. James loved the Lord, loved his family and loved Fox News.

3 children: Ginger Leigh (and Raymond) Mark of DeLand, Florida, Melissa Dianne (and Earl) Mark of DeLeon Springs, Florida, and Jamie Lynn (and Gabriel) Edwards of DeLand, Florida
2 brothers: Oscar Lee (and Lynn) Ponder of Montana and Mike Wade (and Jeanie) Ponder of Florida
Sister-in-law: Sue Ponder
His niece: LeAnn (and Bryan) Simpson
8 grandchildren: Christopher (and Erika) Mark, Megan Mark, Sommer (and Chris) Proctor, Sidney (and Colleen) Rohr, Matthew (and Haley) Mark, Michael Mark, Alek Rohr and Deklin Rohr
2 great-grandchildren: Jameson Rohr and Wyatt J. Proctor (& one on the way, Baby Rohr)
In addition to his parents James was also preceded in death by five brothers.

Burial: Dixon Cemetery
