Barbara Modine Hall, 91, of Russell Springs, KY was surrounded by her family when she passed from this life on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Russell County Hospital. She was born February 3, 1934 at home in the Font Hill community, a daughter of the late James William and Luona Roy Withers.
Modine married Walter Theodore Hall on April 5, 1969 and they had celebrated 23 years of marriage at the time of his passing. Modine was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She loved her family and extended family, being considered a “Grandma” to many. Modine loved to play card games, loved breakfast food and coffee, and looked forward to meeting up Thursday nights with her dinner group.

Along with her parents, Modine was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her siblings: Garnet Elvin “Red” Withers, Arnold Withers, Arnet G. Withers, Orma Smith, Rebecca Tucker and Beulah Hawkins; and her life-long friend, Ada Thornton.
