Dean Paul Ettner, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025 in Russell Springs, KY. He was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on March 2, 1938 to Harold and Lois Ettner.
He attended high school at Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. Dean married Gloria Proctor and they had three children. He spent most of his working career in construction in Indianapolis and in St. Louis. Dean loved fishing, had a passion for landscaping and animals, and hanging out at the corner bar with friends. He never knew a stranger.
Dean moved to Jamestown, Kentucky in 2017 where he lived out the remainder of his life. He was baptized at Russell Springs Christian Church, was a member at The Springs Methodist Church, and more recently, became a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church. Dean attended every performance Darin and Joyce were involved in at the Star Theater and even purchased and donated a new lobby screen to the Star. He loved his Jamestown family and friends.

Children: Darin Ettner, Penny Ettner Kinney, Shelly Ettner Talley, and Donna Radcliffe

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Ettner; one sister, Peggy Ettner Behrens; a nephew, Chris Ettner; and a niece, Shannon Ettner Dabney.
