Margie Marie (Burton) McKenzie, 89, of Louisville, KY (a native of Adair County, KY) passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born on January 29, 1936 to the late Johnny and Delia Burton of Adair County, KY.
Margie was a member of Fairdale Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. McKenzie Jr.; two brothers: Thelbert and Prenith Burton; a sister, Betty Jo Sneed; and one grandchild.

4 children: David Burton (Leann), Dale Burton (Linda), Donna Hamilton (Bill Jr), Robert “Bob” Burton (Lawinna)
5 stepchildren: Sherry Wright, Michael McKenzie, Donna Webb (Bobby), Russell McKenzie (Michelle) and Mark McKenzie (Deborah)
19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren
1 brother: Phillip Burton (Naomi)
3 sisters: Katherine Burton, Barbara Churchill (Tom) and Georgia Mings (Ralph)
Funeral Service: Tuesday March 25, 2025 at 1:00pmET at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY
Burial: Bethany Memorial Cemetery
