Edith Aaron, 91, Jamestown, KY

 
Edith Aaron, 91, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia.  She was born at home on August 4, 1933 in Russell County, a daughter of the late Arthur and Edra Smith Shaw.  
 
Edith was blessed to be a homemaker and enjoyed her life working at home. She loved being a mom and raising her four children. Edith took pride in growing a big garden. She was a “giver” at heart and always willing to share her abundant harvest. Edith had accepted Jesus as her Savior and was of the Christian faith.
 
SURVIVORS:
1 son: Phillip Aaron of Jamestown
2 daughters: Wendy Weiand, and Carol Roy (& Charlie) both of Russell Springs
1 brother: Keith Grider of Jamestown
3 grandchildren: David Weiand, Melissa McGowan, and Jeremy Roy
Sister-in-law: Fannie Shaw of Russell Springs
A host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Aaron; a daughter, Judy Aaron; three brothers and a sister.
 
Per Edith’s wishes, cremation rites were honored.
 
A gathering of family and friends to honor her memory will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pmCT Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Bernard Funeral Home.
