Melvin Johnson, 82, of Knifley, KY, son of the late Robert Johnson and Lela Allen Johnson, was born September 13, 1942 in Casey County, KY. He died at 2:15 P.M. on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Knifley.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon for many years. Melvin was a retired knitting room supervisor with Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He loved fishing and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

7 grandchildren: Nathan Cox (& wife Victoria) of Knifley, Makayla Young (& husband Brandon) of Greensburg, Andrea Patterson, Don and Markiesha Yocum and Zack of Danville, Justin Carter (& wife Tara) of Columbia, Jonathan Armstrong (& wife Jennifer) of Florida, and Allen Johnson
23 great-grandchildren
1 brother & 2 sisters: Shelby Swafford of Tennessee, Larry Johnson of Indiana, and Wanda Sanders of Liberty
2 sisters-in-law: Louise Stearman & husband Wayne and Sheila Dunham

Melvin was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Miles; two brothers and five sisters: Lilburn Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Louise Parker, Edith Campbell, Daisy Miller, Phyllis Cox and Shirley Cox.
