Rodney “Scotty” Scott, 65, of Russell Springs, KY passed from this life on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 2, 1960 to the late Maze and Joy Dunbar Scott.
He married Thelma Popplewell on April 1, 1978 and three children were born to this union. Rodney was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and had been a heavy equipment operator for Gaddie Shamrock for over 42 years. He enjoyed watching UK basketball and Duck Dynasty, loved farming and was known to buy corn just to feed the deer that came across his property. There was a special place in Rodney’s heart for his three grandbabies.

1 brother: Barry Scott of Lexington
3 sisters: Charlotte Marr of Bowling Green, Judy Evans of Versailles, and Tamara Scott of Edmonton
3 grandbabies: Ciara McQueary, Jordyn McQueary and Ellison Scott
Along with his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by a son, Neil Scott and several brothers and sisters.
