Genevieve Lewis, 90, of Columbia, KY died Monday, May 19, 2025 at 4:05A.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 2, 1934 in Adair County to the late William Edgar and Clara Claywell Janes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris South.
Genevieve retired from the Adair County School System after many years in the Lunchroom at Sparksville Grade Center and was a member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church.

1 daughter & son-in-law: Debbie & Joel South of Columbia
1 son & daughter-in-law: Doug & Sheila Lewis of Columbia
2 grandchildren: Boomer Lewis (Ashley) and Harley Lewis, both of Columbia
1 great-grandchild: Fallon Lewis (& expecting her 2nd great-grandchild in August)
Funeral Service: Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shelton officiating
Burial: Fudge Cemetery in Breeding
Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Thursday
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or the Alzheimer’s Association, which can be made at the funeral home
