Obituaries

Arlin Godby, 79, Russell Springs, KY

Arlin E. Godby, 79, of Russell Springs, KY was born on June 29, 1945, a son of the late Eld. Paul Godby and Valeria Owens Godby, and departed this life on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Arlin was a devoted and loving Husband, Dad, and Pa. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and enjoyed witnessing to those he came in contact with.  Arlin was a devoted member of Clearfork Baptist Church where he served as a trustee for many years.  He loved his church family. He was an advocate for children and was acknowledged for his work in the Always Believing in Children program.

He owned Arlin’s Construction and loved working in the dirt with his machinery. He also enjoyed going to the lake with his fishing buddy and long-time friend John Wilson, tinkering with old cars, and camping with friends.
