Velva Jean Burton, 83, of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Columbia on December 25, 1941 to the late Carter and Bertha Burton Bryant.
Mrs. Burton was a member of the Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

2 children: Sandra Lynn England (Terry) of Edinburgh, IN and Robert E. Campbell, Jr. of Columbia, KY
17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy A. Burton; three children: Cathy Jo Turner, Jeffrey Costello, and William Costello; eight siblings: Charles, Kenneth, Archie, Keven, and Gary Bryant, Jewell Williams, Lettie Burton, and Betty Ellis; and two grandchildren.
