Shirley Sue Egger, 85, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Russell County Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1940 in London, KY, a daughter of the late Walter and Thelma Johnson McQueen.
Shirley worked as a secretary for Lake Cumberland Area Development District and was a faithful member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

Her beloved husband of 65 years: William Elmer Egger of Russell Springs
2 daughters: Debbie (Charles) Blankenship of Russell Springs and Patti (Chuck) Carter of Nashville, TN
4 grandchildren: Erin Blankenship Potts (Chris), Joshua G. Carter (Emily), Morgan Carter Bowden (Britt), and Grayson C. Blankenship
6 great-grandchildren: Sawyer Potts, Sutton Potts, Emory Bowden, Blakely Bowden, Henry Carter, and Miles Carter
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: John E. McQueen, Betty Pruitt, Bill McQueen, and David McQueen.

Burial: Poplar Grove Cemetery
Visitation: After 11:00amCT on Thursday at the church
