Dean Akin, 82, of Versailles, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY died Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles. He was born April 2, 1943 to the late Robert and Alta Price Akin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Finley Akin, Bobby Akin, Dickey Akin and three sisters: Audrey Calhoun, Genois Collins and Charlene Sexton.
Dean was a member of First Christian Church in Versailles and employed by Godolphin at Gainsborough Farms.

2 daughters: Alice Ellis (Timmy) of Elizabethtown and Anne Reichenbach (Mark) of Midway
3 sisters: Flossie Price and Margie Williams both of Columbia, and Sheila McQueary (Steve) of Louisville
3 grandchildren: Lauren Elkins (Chris), Callie Little (Jack) and Will Reichenbach
7 great-grandchildren: Jordan Elkins, Kylie Elkins, Elliot Elkins, Finn Elkins, Levi Little, Oliver Little, John Garbacz

Funeral service: Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton and Chris Cole officiating
Burial: Columbia Cemetery
Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Thursday
