Raymond Edward James, 93, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 at The Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, KY. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 3, 1932, the son of Reuben & Emma (Smith) James.
He was of the Baptist Faith, a 1950 graduate of Somerset High School, Honorably Served in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Sgt. First Class, worked 22 years at National Cash Register, 21 years at General Motors and had been farming in Russell County since 1972.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie (Collins) James; son, Richard Lee James; daughter, Katherine Ann (James) Carroll; grandchildren: Heather Lee James & Ryan Gerhard; step-sons: Timothy Wayne Hosack & Phillip Ray Hosack; paternal grandparents: John Perry & Lydia (Crowe) James; and maternal grandparents: Ernest & Maggie (Goff) Smith.
