Bonnie Cowan, 68, Columbia, KY 

 

Bonnie Cowan, 68, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born April 13, 1957 in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Truman and Agnes Smith Young. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Young and one sister, Brenda Hollings.

 

Bonnie was a member of Columbia Church of Christ, retired from Osh Kosh B’Gosh, a former house cleaner, formerly worked at Jeffries Hardware and was currently working at the Trendy Farmhouse.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 sons: Joey Cowan of Pensacola, Florida and Dewayne Cowan of Columbia

1 daughter: Elizabeth Cowan of Columbia

3 grandchildren: Brantley Rainwater, Brayden Rainwater and Braylee Stovall (John)

2 great-grandchildren: Easton Ray Stovall and Remington Rainwater

4 brothers: Terry Young, Jeff Young, Mike Young and Randy Young all of Green County

1 sister: Becky Campbell of Green County

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 11:00amCT at Columbia Church of Christ with Dean Roach and Wes Stone officiating

 

Burial: Bearwallow Cemetery

 

Visitation: Wednesday from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Thursday from 6:00am-8:30amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and Thursday after 9:00amCT at Columbia Church of Christ

 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
