William Neal "Billy" Nobles, 73, Columbia, KY

 
William Neal Billy Nobles, 73, of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at his residence. He was born on July 26, 1951 in Campbellsville, KY to the late Thomas Neal and Betty Louise Dunbar Nobles.
 
Mr. Nobles was of the Christian faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a Chief Warrant Officer and a retired dispatcher for the Adair County 911 Center. He was a civil war enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns, reloading ammo, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
 
SURVIVORS:
His loving companion & best friend: Debbie Nobles of Columbia, KY
4 children: Doug Nobles (Laura) of Columbia, KY, Misty Moss (William) of Columbia, KY, Mike Burton (Rachel) of Glasgow, KY, and Donald Burton (Delphine) of Louisville, KY
2 grandchildren: Will and Nita Nobles
Numerous step-grandchildren & one great-grandchild 
His beloved cat “Poo”
 
The family honored Mr. Nobles’ wishes of cremation and a celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 4:00pmCT at VFW Post 6097, 500 Green Hills Rd, Columbia, KY. 
 
Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097, Masonic Rites by Columbia Masonic Lodge #96, and last call by the Adair County 911 Center.
 
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
