Welby Ross Dabney, 90, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Jamestown. He was born in Somerset, KY on May 3, 1935, a son of the late John Garfield and Frances Wilson Dabney.
Ross served 2 years in the Army, deploying to Korea before being honorably discharged as an SP3. After returning from Korea, he attended a vocational school in Somerset, becoming a licensed machinist. Ross worked as a machinist for many years, both for himself and at Universal Machine and Tool in Georgetown.

1 son: Richard Dabney of Nebraska
In addition to his parents, Ross was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Burial: Russell Springs City Cemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard
Visitation: After 9:00amCT Saturday at the funeral home
