Clora Jane (Tucker) Luttrell, 78, lovingly known as Chloe, and affectionately known as ‘Memaw’ to her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025 surrounded by her family in Danville, KY. She was born October 4, 1946 to the late Earl and Ada (West) Tucker in Russell County, KY.
Clora battled Alzheimer’s disease for more than 14 years. Reflecting on her initial diagnosis, she testified that “my God is bigger than Alzheimer's" to Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church (Sunshine) in Eli, Kentucky, where she was an active member. Those who knew Clora, know that you could most often find her working in her flower beds. Clora took great pride in her family and had endless stories of her grandchildren and son. She was surrounded always with pictures of them all. She loved Christmas—filling her home with numerous themed trees—was a voracious reader and adventurer.
She married the love of her life, Lloyd Luttrell, on April 20, 1966 and remained married and in love until his passing. She adored her son and her two grandchildren, and she devoted her life to ensuring everyone knew just how much. Clora loved the Lord, and attended church regularly. She retired from the Oakwood Care Facility in Somerset, where she spent a career caring for numerous individuals. Clora took pride not only in her family, but in her work and church family as well.
