Doris Jean Bachman, 76, Corydon, Indiana


Doris Jean Bachman, 76, of Corydon, Indiana died Friday, August 8, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born October 16, 1948 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Jacob O’dell and Mabel Stallard Wheeler Wooten.

 

She was a former manager at IGA in Corydon. Doris was a member of Heidelberg Church and V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon, IN.

 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers: Jacob, Jr., Marvin, Roger, Marshall, Rodney and Melvin Wooten; and her sisters: Cecelia Sprayberry, Patricia Manner, Priscilla Purvis and Deloris Moore.


SURVIVORS:

Her husband: David Lee Bachman

2 sons: David Bachman (Taffany) and Jared Bachman

5 grandchildren: Dylan, Dustin, Mila, Nate & Emmett Bachman

1 sister: Marilyn Sneed (Dale)


Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:00amCT at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with Pastor Chuck Brown officiating 
 

Burial: Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon


VisitationMonday, August 11, 2025 from 2:00pm-8:00pmCT and Tuesday after 9:00amCT at the funeral home

 

Pallbearers: Dylan Bachman, Steve Dishman, John Dargal, Nate Bachman, Emmett Bachman and Avery Epperson
