Paul Carl Hatfield, 71, of Gravel Switch, KY passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on September 28, 1953 to the late Thomas and Helen Hatfield.
Mr. Hatfield enjoyed a long career with Branscum Construction overseeing many projects, but his crowning achievements included the construction of multiple cancer treatment centers in Kentucky. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially at dirt-track races.

2 daughters: Shannon Curry (Mike) of Russell Springs, KY and Amanda Cook (Todd) of Knoxville, TN
3 stepchildren: Amanda Wesley (Brian) of Broomfield, CO, Brandon Wesley (Tiffany) of Nashville, TN and Dana Shely (Matt) of Lawrenceburg, KY
4 grandchildren: Lily & Addison Rucker and Jazmine & Elijah Curry
8 step-grandchildren: Jonah, Cooper, & Bryson Cook, Aubrey & Gauge Wilson, Leah Shely, Riggin & Bixby Wesley
1 sister: Ruby Holmes (Rollin) of Columbia, KY

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Herman and Ronnie Hatfield, and two sisters: Dorothy Holmes and Wanda May.
Funeral Service: Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Brown and Bro. Randy Douglas officiating
Burial: New Hope Cemetery
Visitation: Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Sunday until time for the service
